TALK & LISTEN

Bruton

Hi, we are Richard and Tom and we are the Catpains of Talk Club Bruton

Richard

I have been involved with and supported TC from almost the beginning. Good friends with Ben (co-founder) & former trustee.

Tom

I first came across Talk Club when I met Ben Acres at a screening of his documentary Steve in Bruton during Mental Health Week. The film was powerful, and combined with the simplicity of the Talk Club model, I felt compelled to get involved.
For me, being a Captain is about service—holding a safe, structured space where men can check in, share openly, and be listened to without judgement. Too many men carry things in silence, without opportunities to simply be heard. Talk Club changes that. Its brilliantly simple system encourages honesty, connection, and reflection, creating a sense of belonging that many of us are missing.
I’m proud to play a part in supporting that process and helping men support each other.
